KloudScript’s Innovative Specialty-at-Retail Model Earns CPPA Specialty Accreditation
OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL —KloudScriptTM, Inc., a community-led specialty pharmacy care network announces specialty pharmacy accreditation through the Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA®), with its pharmacy partner, Neighbors Pharmacy of Louisiana.
In 2015, after substantial planning, Neighbors Pharmacy was established in Lafayette, Louisiana by Chad and Gretchen Bodin. Both knew it was time to expand their pharmacy business and move towards a more specialized platform; one that differentiated their pharmacy from “big box” stores. Neighbors Pharmacy’s mission is not just to fill prescriptions, but to help their trusted Neighbors make informed healthcare decisions. Centralized in Lafayette, Neighbors Pharmacy makes it easier to service a wide variety of rural areas, as well as, larger cities along Louisiana’s I-10. Neighbors Pharmacy offers a wide variety of patient care services including: specialty care, retail pharmacy, delivery service, customized patient education and consultation, compounding, monthly pill packs, adult immunizations, and medication therapy management services.
Neighbors Pharmacy partnered with KloudScript in July of 2015 and has seen tremendous growth in their specialty program. “We quickly discovered that there was an urgent need in our area for specialty care and knew that partnering with KloudScript would be the solution to providing our patients with personalized, local specialty care. Our partnership ensures that our patients, in all communities, achieve desired, cost-effective outcomes,” said Chad Bodin, RPh, Owner of Neighbors Pharmacy.
Bodin anticipates a positive impact on Neighbors specialty business since becoming CPPA accredited in partnership with KloudScript. “Becoming specialty accredited has been the ultimate goal for our business. Accreditation validates that the quality of care that we provide to our patients stands above other pharmacies in our area. We are committed to ensuring that our patients are treated like family, because that’s what good Neighbors do,” said Bodin.
KloudScript pharmacy partners provide care to patients locally; while KloudScript provides the necessary strategy, infrastructure and support services, including financial case management through its hub to operate a specialty program that provides a better care experience than mail order specialty pharmacies. KloudScript’s patient care management platform, KETUTM, drives compliance and quality of care through consistency in hub services, pharmacy operations and clinical care to patients, while capturing the data necessary to track trends and business intelligence, critical to various industry stakeholders. Dr. Rinku A. Patel, Founder and CEO of KloudScript, Inc., anticipates more network pharmacy partners to achieve CPPA accreditation in 2018. “Accreditation with Neighbors Pharmacy proudly displays our commitment to improving overall patient outcomes and lowering out-of-pocket costs. By building our network of accredited pharmacy partners, we continuously demonstrate to prescribers, payors and pharmaceutical manufacturers that our specialty-at-retail care model not only meets the rigorous standards of quality and care, but also provides for an engaged patient that is happy to receive their medications and care from a community pharmacy they trust,” said Dr. Rinku A. Patel, Founder & CEO of KloudScript, Inc.

The Center for Pharmacy Practice Accreditation (CPPA®) is a nonprofit organization established in 2012 through a partnership of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) to recognize pharmacy practices for providing patient care services that improve health outcomes and contribute to lower healthcare costs. The CPPA mission, unique among accreditors, is to raise the level of pharmacy-delivered patient care services through accreditation and, thus, serve the public health. These three organizations saw a need to establish standards to meet the public’s need for specific, predictable, and measurable pharmacist clinical services across the medication use continuum.
